Handing over my class
I gave them my contact details, and made sure the new teacher has everything she needs to hit the ground running. It's the least I can do, despite my heart aching. Ah, bless them.

Made in Malay ... sia
Well, Dr M really wanted to sell it to the US, so when Dr M paid a visit to the White House after finishing formal discussions with George Bush, Dr M checks with Bush to find out if there is a way to sell the Kancil in the USA.
After having looked at the brochure, Bush said, "You know, I think this 'Kernchill' is too small for us Americans."
Not one who gives up easily, Dr M persisted and finally Bush offered, "Ok, take this number down. This guy is my good buddy and he's also the CEO of the biggest compact car distributor in North America."
Dr M was satisfied with the meeting and returns to Malaysia.
The next day he called the number and a lady answered, "TOYS 'R' US", can I help you?"

Mr. Samy-vellu went for a United Nations meeting. He represented the Malaysian Prime Minister.
All nations were discussing about space exploration by the year 2008.
Here were some of the conversations:
China Delegate : "By the year 2008, China will start their moon exploration project."
Russian Delegate : "We too, we are going to explore the moon. This time we will see to it that our cosmonauts will step on the moon."
George Bush: "We the United States will also explore the moon for the second time."
Malaysian Delegate: "By the year 2008, Malaysia will explore the sun."
There was a long silence. Bush stood up and asked the Malaysian delegate: "Isn't it too hot to explore the sun?"
Samy Vellu (after a long silence): "We will do it in the evening."

There are three major races in Malaysia - Malay, Chinese and Indian.
The Malays have the political power and so they set up the party UMNO, which literally means "U Must Not Object".
The Chinese, on the other hand, controls most of the Economy and they called their party MCA which means "Money Conquers All".
Then there are the Indians who have no say in politics or economics. They set up their party called MIC. Hence, every Parliamentary meeting the Indians will ask: "Must I Come?"

Prophetic Worship
Worship ought never to be just a song service. Worship should be a huge transaction between the people and God, a wonderful give and take of love and strength between two parties who passionately love one another. What a tragedy that so much of the body of Christ today regards worship as little more than the warm up for the sermon! So many churches have reduced the worship service to just a couple of songs that lead into a long sermon so that the whole thing is over in just an hour! Such loss!
In truth, worship is a stand-alone interaction with God, complete in and of itself, something to be lingered over, savored and soaked in. In fact, although I'll never devalue or neglect my preaching, I believe that worship occupies a place of importance in the church at least equal to the preaching of the Word. It actually has as much power to communicate concepts and ideas as does preaching.
Worship comes to us on at least two levels. At one level, it's simply devotional and adorational, a time of intimate communion with God. But on another level, worship can be powerfully prophetic and life-changing. In fact, I believe the age we live in cries out for worship with a prophetic edge. I don't believe revival will ever truly break out of the confines of the church to sweep our culture before it without the power of truly prophetic worship offered in a style that penetrates the culture around us.

How Moses Got The 10 Commandments
The Arabs asked, "What are Commandments?"
And the Lord said, "They are rules for living."
"Can you give us an example?"
"Thou shall not kill."
"Not kill? We're not interested."
So He went to the Blacks and said, "I have Commandments."
The Blacks wanted an example, and the Lord said,
"Honor thy Father and Mother."
"Father? We don't know who our fathers are." We're not interested.
Then He went to the Mexicans and said, "I have Commandments."
The Mexicans also wanted an example, and the Lord said
"Thou shall not steal."
"Not steal? We're not interested."
Then He went to the French and said, "I have Commandments".
The French too wanted an example and the Lord said,
"Thou shall not commit adultery."
"Not commit adultery? We're not interested."
Finally, He went to the Jews and said, "I have Commandments."
"Commandments?" They said, "How much are they?"
"They're free."
"We'll take 10."

World Cup 2006
The African sides have honoured their side of the bargain and look good. 2010 could be their year. The Asian teams look decent but could be found out by the Europeans. The Latin Americans have it their way; the tendency is for them to impose their style on others rather than vice versa.
All in all, I would rather see the helter-skelter of all-out attack. Will the real Germany please stand up?

Church Camp 2006 at Awana Genting
Took the cable car up to Genting for only RM8, and enjoyed being carried through the mist. S'pore has much to learn then. Angela and Teckseng had hilarious phobic reactions.
We have also uncovered mutant powers in our guys. Samuel can walk through glass doors (not) and can throw singlets through basketball hoops (not). Jackson can turn spinach into eng chye (kangkung). The rest of us can fart like nobody's business when presented with copiuos amounts of egg breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Worship-wise, we even had a mosh pit and extended medley on the last night. How God moved! Lydia's holy laughter was so infectious that people around her also started laughing too!
Can't wait for next year!

Corporate Fables
A rabbit came a long and asked him, "Can I also be like you and do nothing all day long?"
The crow said, "Sure! Why not?"
So the rabbit sat and rested by the tree.
Suddenly, a fox came along, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.
Moral: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be very high up.
A turkey was chatting with a bull.
"I would love to get to the top of that tree," sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the energy."
The bull replied, "Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings? It is full of nutrients and will give you the energy you need to fly all the way up."
The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it gave him enough energy to reach the top of the tree.
Soon, a farmer spotted the turkey and shot it out of the tree.
Moral: Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.
The Constipated Chief
The apprentice went to the medicine man and said, "Big Chief, no shit!" The medicine man gave the boy a small package saying, "This is a strong medicine. Take only in a small quantity. Ask chief to take this." The apprentice went back and gave it to the chief, who took it happily.
But again the next day, the chief had no luck. The apprentice went back to the medicine man and said, "Big Chief, no shit!" The medicine man gave a stronger dose this time. The boy went back and handed it to the chief. Again he had no luck so the next day Running Water went back and said, "Big Chief, no shit!"
The medicine man gave him the strongest dose and said, "Give this to chief." The boy returned and gave it to the chief, who was now desperate.
The next day the boy returned saying, "Medicina man, medicine man! Big shit, no chief!"

Musical Interlude
He never knows when to come in and he can't find the key.
How do you make a bass player laugh?
Tell them that the guitarist realized he was playing too much.
How do you get two trumpet players to play in tune?
Shoot one of them!
How many vocalists does it take to change a light bulb?
One! She stands on the ladder and the whole world revolves around her!
How many bass players does it take to change a light bulb?
Six. One to change it, five to fight off the lead guitarists who are hogging the light.
How many drummers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Twenty, one to hold the bulb and nineteen to drink beer till the room spins.
Did you hear about the guitarist who locked his keys in his car?
He couldn't get the drummer out.
How is an electric guitar like a vacuum cleaner?
They both suck when you plug them in.
What's the difference between a drum machine and a drummer?
You only have to punch the information into the drum machine once!
A man goes to an exotic tropical island for a vacation. As the boat nears the island, he notices the constant sound of drumming coming from the island. As he gets off the boat, he asks the first native he sees how long the drumming will go on. The native casts about nervously and says, "Very bad when the drumming stops."
At the end of the day, the drumming is still going on and is starting to get on his nerves. So, he asks another native when the drumming will stop. The native looks as if he's just been reminded of something very unpleasant. "Very bad when the drumming stops," he says, and hurries off.
After a couple of days with little sleep, our traveller is finally fed up, grabs the nearest native, slams him up against a tree, and shouts, "What happens when the drumming stops?!"
"Bass solo."
How is a drum solo like a sneeze?
You can tell it's coming, but you can't do anything about it.
Johnny to his mom: I want to be a drummer when I grow up!
Mom: But Johnny, you can't do both.
What's the last thing a drummer says in a band?
"Hey, guys, why don't we try one of my songs?"
How do you make a bass player turn down the volume?
Put a chart in front of him.
What did the guitarist do when his teacher told him to turn his amplifier on?
He caressed it softly and told it that he loved it.
Why do bagpipe players walk while they play?
To get away from the noise.
How many country & western singers does it take to change a light bulb?
Three. One to change the bulb and two to sing about the old one.
What happens if you play blues music backwards?
Your wife returns to you, your dog comes back to life, and you get out of prison.
How many sound men does it take to change a light bulb?
"Hey man, I just do sound."
How many sound men does it take to change a light bulb?
One. Upon finding no replacement, he takes the original apart, repairs it with a chewing gum wrapper and duct tape, changes the screw mount to bayonet mount, finds an appropriate patch cable, and re-installs the bulb fifty feet from where it should have been, to the satisfaction of the rest of the band.
What's the difference between a bull and an orchestra?
The bull has the horns in the front and the asshole in the back.
What is the ideal weight for a conductor?
About 2 1/2 lbs. including the urn.
Why is a conductor like a condom?
It's safer with one, but more fun without.
Why are drummer jokes so short?
So drummers can understand them.
What do do with a guitar player that can't play?
Give him sticks, put him in the back, and call him a drummer.
What do you do if he can't do that?
Take away the sticks, put him up front, and call him a singer.
What do you call a drummer with half a brain?
Gifted.
Why do bands have bass players?
To translate for the drummer.
How many drummers does it take to change a lightbulb?
"Why? Oh, wow! Is it like dark, man?"
What is the difference between a guitar player and a terrorist?
Terrorists have sympathisers.
What's the difference between a drummer and a terrorist?
You can negotiate with a terrorist.
What's the first thing a drummer does in the morning?
Puts on his clothes and goes home.
Talking about music is like dancing about architecture. - Frank Zappa

Words of Wisdom 4
Why did the cemetary raise its burial fees and blame it on cost of living?
Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them.
The early bird gets the worm but the early worm gets eaten.
Shin: a device for finding furniture in the dark.
FA Cup Final 2006
An own goal (Carragher), predator's poke (Ashton), mishit cross (Konchesky), and finally a 30-yard volley on the run (the irrepressible Gerrard), this match had it all. 3-3 it was at full-time and when extra time yielded many a cramp but nary a goal, it was time for the 10-yard lottery.
Reina regards himself as a specialist; he did his reputation no harm with three stupendous saves from tired West Ham takers.
Reina won Liverpool the cup; Gerrard gave him the opportunity. It was just about deserved.
You're Really Stupid 2
Jack Neo is a novelty that has worn on for far too long. To think he wants to make one every two years. Subtlety does not exist in this man's dictionary. While more talented directors coax you into their point-of-view, Neo takes it and forces it down your throat with a sledgehammer. Faulty analogy, I know, but suitable when describing his work.
Full of cliches, cringe moments, sledgehammer analogies, the list goes on. Rotten apples, the principal who follows the rules, teacher hits student whose classmates whip out their camera phones, it really is painful to watch.
While this movie may just make money from heartlander homies, I'm afraid we were just humoured in Cannes.
Jack Neo's filmmaking is an embarrassment to Singapore. Next better scriptwriter, please, before he makes it a trilogy.

Mothers Reclassified
"Of course I have a job," snapped Emily. "I'm a mother."
"We don't list 'mother' as an occupation; 'Housewife' covers it," said the recorder emphatically.
I forgot all about her story until one day I found myself in the same situation, this time at our own Town Hall. The Clerk was obviously a career woman, poised, efficient and possessed a high-sounding title like "Official Interrogator."
"What is your occupation?" she probed.
What made me say it, I do not know... The words simply popped out. "I'm a Research Associate in the field of Child Development and Human Relations."
The clerk paused, ball-point pen frozen in midair, and looked up as though she had not heard right. I repeated the title slowly, emphasizing the most significant words. Then I stared with wonder as my pronouncement was written in bold, black ink on the official questionnaire.
"Might I ask," said the clerk with new interest, "just what you do in your field?"
Coolly, without any trace of fluster in my voice, I heard myself reply, "I have a continuing program of research, (what mother doesn't), in the laboratory and in the field, (normally I would have said indoors and out). I'm working for my Masters, (the whole darned family), and already have four credits, (all daughters). Of course, the job is one of the most demanding in the humanities (any mother care to disagree?) and I often work 14 hours a day, (24 is more like it)."
There was an increasing note of respect in the clerk's voice as she completed the form, stood up, and personally ushered me to the door.
As I drove into our driveway, buoyed up by my glamorous new career, I was greeted by my lab assistants, ages 13, 7, and 3. Upstairs I could hear our new experimental model, (a 6-month-old baby), in the child-development program, testing out a new vocal pattern.
I felt triumphant! I had scored a beat on bureaucracy! And I had gone on the official records as someone more distinguished and indispensable to mankind than "just another mother".
Motherhood… What a glorious career! Especially when there's a title on the door.
Does this make grandmothers "Senior Research Associates in the field of Child Development and Human Relations" and great grandmothers "Executive Senior Research Associates?" I think so!
I also think it makes Aunts "Associate Research Assistants".
Please send this to another Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, or your wife, your girlfriend, and other friends you know.

At the other end, Gareth (2965.5 pts) and Keh (1911.5 pts) end the season ignominously with the worst score of 0 pts, thanks to empty teamsheets for consecutive weeks!

Existential questions
How then can free will and predestination coexist? We may have free will, but God in His omnipotence has understood what choice we are going to make, hence the predestination in His perfect will.
Omnipotence cannot exist in human hands, as they are imperfect; omnipotence must remain outside the knowledge of Man and only within the knowledge of God. It is only appreciable from God's point-of-view. We can't grasp the coexistence of free will and predestination; we'll only get it when we meet God and share His knowledge.
We won't even ask, as a question is born from an absence of knowledge; as we will be unaware of any knowledge vacuum we had, these questions that so dog us now will not transpire.

Week 36 Fantasy Football Review
Week 36 has just passed.
Aaron (3127 pts) slips catastrophically in 1st place with 89 pts, no thanks to Tal Ben Haim, Craig Moore, Shola Ameobi, Emmanuel Adebayor and Lee Bowyer. He suffered bad luck with Ameobi, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Pedro Mendes and Bowyer injured, and Ben Haim sent off. How different if Alan Shearer and Charles N'Zogbia had replaced he literally toothless Ameobi and Bowyer.
The gap is now 145 pts as Clarence (2982 pts) strengthens 2nd place with the 3rd-highest score of 192.5 pts, thanks to Wayne Rooney, Shearer, N'Zogbia and Brian Priske. What a difference a week makes!

V for Vendetta review (taken from Ain't It Cool News)
Which brings me to V for Vendetta and the fact that Moore has once again, requested his name be removed from the film. Not only that, but he is severing his ties with DC after delivering his final League book. Now, given that the Wachowski's wrote the screenplay and the Wachowski's certainly possess ample imagination (*cough*), it would make one at least hope that they'd respect someone who possesses a similarly large imagination and recognize the precision thereof.
Or not.
Prime example, as we are introduced to V for the first time in a scene that is taken directly from the book with little deviation up till this point. Those who have read the book know how V first meets Evey, in the dark alley after rescuing her. Here is, word for word, the speech written for V by the Wachowski brothers.
He indicates his mask
V
"This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vangquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.
The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-Ã -vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V."
Evey
Are you like, a crazy-person?
Stop laughing. I still have a review to write.
Thanks.
It's rare that written dialogue angers me, but when I read the first interaction between V and Evey, it made me livid. They had already swept the rug out from underneath the very character that is to carry the entire film. Rather than present him as he is in the book, an exacting and charismatic mind, they first give him the aforementioned speech. Then the event, the very thing that is intended to kick off the entire film, the destruction of Madame Justice and Old Bailey, is prefaced by a misguided and generally retarded approximation by the Wachowski's on what constitutes "charisma." These are the same two people that wrote the heavy-handed monologuing of the Matrix films, so take a guess as to how V is written.
After that point, the character is buying back credibility, not existing as a charismatic and dangerous individual. The destruction of the two landmarks and V's behavior during this is such a hugely negative establishing scene for the character that he never really attains the value that all of the other characters in the film appear to fear him for. This character is not attractive because he conducts Beethoven, conductor's baton and all, while blowing up a landmark. He's attractive because not only are his ideas dangerous, but he has the willingness and confidence to execute them with little or no fear. This does not mean a character who is flippant in their portrayal of detached cool should be written. And yet, that is what we get.
If the Wachowski's could rewrite the first 30-40 pages of the script, they'd have a decent story on their hands, although the script would still need some massive doctoring. Granted, their handling of the passage of a year is paltry and the inter-governmental clawings are glossed over, but the overall structure of the story is preserved. There are no power struggles really alluded to until the very last act of the play where certain character's wife says, out of the blue, "This could be the chance we've been waiting for." Other characters, the Priest and Finch for instance, are brought in to do their one thing to push the story along and never really exist as they do in the book, namely as people living and reacting to the governmental system in place.
Thankfully, the one thing that remains most untouched are the Larkhill moments when Surridge's diary is read and we learn about V's genesis. As written, it is perfect in note and tone to what the original book was trying to do. They make no definite allusions to who V is, make no references to his appearance. Nothing and thank God for it.
Another significant part of the book that remains largely pure is the torture and mind-warp of Evey. It is almost beat-for-beat the same and works so much better without the Wachowksi's editorializing and tinkering. They even leave the letter in. But, once again, provided the audience hasn't gone brain dead from the "V" monologue, the character of V has been pre-emptively sabotaged. The scene doesn't hold the same weight or meaning. Not only that, but the entire conclusion to it is telegraphed with the way Evey is captured to begin with.
The thing that suffers the most, aside from the horrid opening?
Naturally, it is the ending.
And yes, there are huge spoilers ahead. Go away if you want to preserve some semblance of purity when you see it eventually.
Last chance.
As the film is coming to its end, and the riots are taking place, V and Evey are going about executing their final plan. Apparently, at this point in the film the Wachowski's were uncertain of the audience's ability to grasp V as a symbol, as someone representative of each and every citizen of England, so they decide to help them out. Their idea of helping the audience along? Each and every citizen of England that riots is wearing a V mask. Nevermind where these masks have come from (if they're from V, that's simply dumb. If there's some plant in fascist England mass-producing them, that's also dumb), everyone is wearing them and it strikes terror in the hearts of the Bad People.
The script ends about four or five pages before the book does. If you've read it, you know where this is and it is somewhat unsatisfying that the script leaves us with Evey smiling at the camera, but that's where it comes to a shuddering halt.
I'm not at all surprised at Moore's removal. Granted, this is the second draft and there've surely been rewrites (hopefully on the introductory moments with V, especially the monologue), but as it stands the script is not concerned with the ideas Moore had put into play. There is nothing sinister about the government. It isn't subtle and manipulative at all like the graphic novel presented it to be. It is Evil with a capital E, black bags over the head and everything. Pothrero is not the Voice of England, but a screaming voice, devoid of nuance and subtlety, a damning indication of elementary screenwriting by two hacks. He's f**king Fred Phelps, veins bulging and eyes wide. As he is written now, he's a caricature. Not a character. Not the Lewis Pothrero of the book, which is the correct Pothrero, not because it was Moore who wrote him, but because the character of that book was an accurate and critical visualization of a form of propaganda. He is someone people would watch for guidance and support, he would be their voice. The character of the script is a f**king annoyance, someone you'd turn off in a split second only to put an end to his ceaseless bleating. And I don't buy for a second that the moment your society enters into totalitarianism, you settle for bleating. Hitler did not bleat, Mussolini did not bleat, W did not bleat, and the Voice of England should not bleat. But bleat he does.
God, I wanted to love this script. Even after the first 40 pages, when the story finally began to gather momentum, I was cheering for a conclusion that'd dispel the horrible curse that Moore has been suffering under. Up until the V army appears, I was willing to compromise for a very pedestrian adaptation. There are so many sins committed, though, so many horrible characters drawn from the novel that it is almost an alien creation as a result. If I had given birth to a flawed masterpiece such as V for Vendetta in the first place, there would be no way in hell I'd want this mutilated fetus in exchange for it splayed out on the screen for everyone to watch.

How to Stay Young
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer.
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive but don't reach out for the things you know are impossible or things that make you look stupid.
7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9 Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next country. And if this doesn't work, try to figure out what you are doing that causes the guilt & try to work on whatever it is in your life that is causing it. Maybe you have taken on a new project & it is more than you should handle.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
George Carlin's View on Aging
"How old are you?" "I'm four and a half!" You're never thirty-six and a half. You're four and a half, going on five! That's the key.
You get into your teens, now they can't hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead.
"How old are you?" "I'm gonna be 16!" You could be 13, but hey, you're gonna be 16! And then the greatest day of your life . . . You become 21. Even the words sound like a ceremony . . YOU BECOME 21. YESSSS!!!
But then you turn 30. Oooohh, what happened there? Makes you sound like bad milk! He TURNED; we had to throw him out. There's no fun now, you're just a sour-dumpling. What's wrong? What's changed?
You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you're PUSHING 40. Whoa! Put on the brakes, it's all slipping away. Before you know it, you REACH 50.
And your dreams are gone.
But wait!!! You MAKE it to 60. You didn't think you would!
So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.
You've built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that it's a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday!
You get into your 80's and every day is a complete cycle; you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30; you REACH bedtime. And it doesn't end there. Into the 90's, you start going backwards; "I Was JUST 92."
Then a strange thing happens. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again. "I'm 100 and a half!"
May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!
The Godfather
After creating heaven and earth, God created Adam and Eve. And the first thing he said was "DON'T!"
"Don't what?" Adam replied.
"Don't eat the forbidden fruit," God said.
"Forbidden fruit? We have forbidden fruit? Hey Eve..we have forbidden fruit!!
"No Way!
"Yes way!"
"Do NOT eat the fruit!" said God.
"Why?"
"Because I am your Father and I said so!" God replied, wondering why He hadn't stopped creation after making the elephants. A few minutes later, God saw His children having an apple break and He was angry! "Didn't I tell you not to eat the fruit?" God asked.
"Uh huh," Adam replied.
"Then why did you?" said the Father.
"I don't know," said Eve.
"She started it!" Adam said.
"Did not!"
"Did too!"
"DID NOT!"
Having had it with the two of them, God's punishment was that Adam and Eve should have children of their own. Thus the pattern was set and it has never changed.
BUT THERE IS REASSURANCE IN THE STORY! If you have persistently and lovingly tried to give children wisdom and they haven't taken it, don't be hard on yourself. If God had trouble raising children, what makes you think it would be a piece of cake for you?
Meet the Parents
2. Grandchildren are God's reward for not killing your own children.
3. Mothers of teens now know why some animals eat their young.
4. Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.
5. The main purpose of holding children's parties is to remind yourself that there are children more awful than your own.
6. You childproofed your homes, but they are still getting in.
7. Be nice to your kids. They will choose your nursing home one day.
And finally,
IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF TENSION AND YOU GET A HEADACHE, DO WHAT IT SAYS ON THE ASPIRIN BOTTLE:
"TAKE TWO ASPIRIN" AND "KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN"!
Men!
Place mats: They only show up when there's food on the table.
Mascara: They run at the first sign of emotion.
Government bonds: They take so long to mature.
Parking spots: The good ones are taken and the rest are handicapped.
Photocopiers: You need them for reproduction, and that's about it.
Lava lamps: Fun to look at, but not very bright.
Bank accounts: Without much money, they don't generate much interest.
High heels: Easy to walk on once you get the hang of it.

Week 9 of Skool
People passing unwanted comments and not saying it like they mean it still gets on my nerves. Like "My! Aren't you casual today? Going to Orchard?" Just say what you mean and mean what you say, man. And it's called PE attire. You can go sweat in your slacks. I'll be practical, tangjewberrymud.
I have also been staying far too late to be healthy butn there just seems to be too much. Don't know how they do it. Maybe I AM moving too fast.
Quotable quotes by Jasmine Tang
- when asked if she had put any "Good!" stamps on a worksheet.
"I'm just trying to screw it up!"
