Having completed an invaluable two-day Teacher Preparatory Programme, the Ministry of Education considers me sufficiently educated to begin educating others. While I approach teaching with less trepidation than two days ago, the fear of the unknown still eats me.
The honourable Mr R Sachidanandan, who can count ministers Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Vivian Balakrishnan among his former pupils, can now add me to that list. It was indeed a great honour to learn from him, and even enjoy a private lunch while he allayed my fears.
I leave you now with these words: "Into the Valley of Death rode the six hundred." Only now it's just me.
