SonicFest05

SonicFlood was gooooood. Went to SonicFest on the last night, 30 Jul (Sat), and they really saved the best for last. Went with Julian, Amos and Teckseng, and we all got in through free tickets! Managed to spot Kevin before everything got heavy and we found a good spot on the damp grass (which was everywhere).

The SonicEdge Band was up first and they really are something to behold. Loud but yet they had the songs with the hooks. Really refreshing to worhsip God that way in Fort Canning under the stars with an NDP helicopter hovering overhead and 3000 people with hands raised.

But they were just curtain-raisers for the main event, SonicFlood. The Australian band quickly revved the crowd up with their popular hits Open the Eyes of My Heart and I Could Sing of Your Love Forever. They then played songs from their new album.

But the best part was when they led 3000 people in a impromptu altar call. Fantastic. THey also did solos, and the mohawked drummer is pretty darn good, as was the Thunder from Down Under bassist.

Looking forward to SonicFest06!
